21-year-old midfielder Kyle Ebecilio has joined Championship side Nottingham Forest on a season long loan from Dutch top flight team FC Twente, formally managed by current Newcastle United boss Steve McLaren.
The youngster spent three years in the Arsenal youth ranks before departing after failing to break into the first team. In May of 2013 Ebecilio joined current club Twente on a 5-year-deal, a gigantic contract considering the huge risk they were taking. The gamble would soon pay off as the Rotterdam born midfielder netted in just his second match against home town club Feyenoord. Ebecilio continued his excellent form that season, becoming a regular fixture in the starting eleven and adding a further six goals to his progressing résumé.
The decision to join Forest may come after clashing with Twente manager Alfred Schreuder which led to a four game stint out of the side. Although he scored on his return to the team against Cambuur, Ebecilio has never quite looked the player he use to be and the switch of countries and team-mates could to the youngster. After all, he has huge potential and getting regular game time and enjoying football is key to unlocking success.
