League One round-up Matchday 7

A late double from Tom Bradshaw assured Walsall would stay in the top two for another two weeks. As do Gillingham after Bradley Dack struck 10 minutes from time.

Crewe are now rock bottom of the division after Aiden O’Brian inspired a performance from the Lions with his first hat-trick for the club. Much has been said about Millwall’s ongoing lack of strikers, but O’Brian’s treble surely will have silenced some critics. Colchester United remain in the drop zone, but may have been plummeted at the bottom should Charlie Raglan not steered into his own net two minutes into added time.

Three of the four sides currently occupying the play-of spots were confined to defeats this afternoon. Burton Albion were the only victors as they triumphed over 6th placed Rochdale at the Pirelli. A single goal from Paddy Madden was enough to see off the Sky Blues. And Leon Clarke scored for the second week running to complete a pulsating win for Bury over Sheffield United at Brammall Lane.
