Just three days on from the disappointing FA Cup defeat to West Brom, Bradford City travel to London Road in search of three points.
Despite the loss to the Premier League outfit, Graham Westley’s men will take heart from their mid-week performance. Fans and players alike will argue that they deserved a round of 16 match with Reading, but ultimately we weren’t clinical enough with a our chances. The return to league action should bring chances to side, there are plenty of names that were rushed into fitness fro Wednesday nights match, expect Westley to chop and change the starting line-up.
The Bantams arrive at London Road off the back of a loss to league leaders Burton Albion, but prior to that form had fluctuated. Two wins, two losses and two draws in January represents a below par performance from the Yorkshire side. The arrival of Jamie Proctor seems to have rejuvenated the front-line after the abysmal loan spell of former Posh man Luke James.
As for Posh’s team news, Michael Smith and Ricardo Santos return from suspensions. After battling through 120 minutes on Wednesday, Gaby Zakuani may be rested should Jack Baldwin continue at centre-half. Tom Nichols, who was ineligible against West-Brom, may return to the starting eleven. Other than that I would expect to see a couple of changes, Harry Toffolo replacing Andrew Fox at left back in an option. As is Erhun Oztumer who could come into the midfield.
Posh have won five of the last six games against Bradford City. Last time out we collected a 2-0 win at Valley Parade with Lee Angol and Chris Forrester getting on the score-sheet. This was Graham Westley’s first game in the hot-seat, and he has since gone on to lift Posh with a fingertips reach of the play-offs. A Win on Saturday could lift them into the top six.
