Betting Preview – Romania vs Albania

Romania and Albania go into their pivotal group A clash both needed a win. Maximum points for Romania would almost certainly carry them through in a ‘best of the rest’ spot. While bottom of the heap Albania, may not even qualify with all three points.

Romania’s Bogdan Stancu tops the scoring charts with his two penalty spot strikes, but his attacking teammates will need to up their contribution of they are to grab that vital victory. The men in yellow were unlucky in the premiere of Euro 2016 against hosts France, a repeat performance would surely grab them a spot in the final 16.

Anghel Iordănescu’s side are just 13/10 to complete the job, while Albania can be found at 12/5. With record caps holder Lorik Cana returning at the heart of the defence, the rear-guard will be strengthened, and they could be a handful should their attacking stars perform.

Despite not getting off the mark in terms of scoring in Euro 2016, Albania have carried plenty of threat. Shkelzen Gashi almost grabbed a last gasp point against Switzerland, while they held on to the closing moments against France. Should the Colorado Rapids forward start, they have themselves a new focal point in attack. He is 40/1 to grab two goals.

Safe Bet – Romania to win by one goal margin 14/5

Long Shot – Shkelzen Gashi to score twice or more 30/1
